AudioListenerConfiguration

Class Documentation

Edit documentation

Where the client puts the audio listener, the point that positional sounds are heard from, and how it tilts the listener.

A map chooses a configuration in MapAudioDataProperties.ListenerConfiguration. When no configuration resolves, the client uses built-in values that equal the defaults of this class.

The client recomputes the listener on every audio update:

  1. Position. It takes the X and Z of the camera's pan position, the point on the map that the camera follows, and sets Y to ListenerHeight. Then it adds ListenerOffsetRight, ListenerOffsetUp and ListenerOffsetForward, each along the matching axis of the render camera.
  2. Front. It rotates the render camera's forward vector about the world X axis by 0x8e84528c degrees and normalizes the result.
  3. Top. It builds the top vector from the front vector and the world up axis.

The three offsets move the listener only. They do not change the front or top vector.

Properties

0x8e84528c

F32 = -5
Edit documentation

Pitch of the listener's front vector, in degrees. The client rotates the render camera's forward vector about the world X axis by this angle. The angle has a resolution of 0.1 degree.

ListenerHeight

F32 = 1350
Edit documentation

The Y position of the listener, in world units. It is an absolute height: it replaces the Y of the camera's pan position and does not follow the terrain or the camera height.

ListenerOffsetForward

F32 = 0
Edit documentation

Offset of the listener along the render camera's forward axis, in world units.

ListenerOffsetRight

F32 = 0
Edit documentation

Offset of the listener along the render camera's right axis, in world units.

ListenerOffsetUp

F32 = 0
Edit documentation

Offset of the listener along the render camera's up axis, in world units.
