Class Documentation
Edit documentationA source of extra spawn data for a complex emitter that the game implements, held by
VfxEmissionSurfaceData.ParticleSpawnDataGenerator.
The particle system only declares it, so an implementation can use game state that the particle
system does not know about, such as the navigation grid.
An implementation supplies two things:
- A point per particle. When a particle is born, the emitter asks for a point in the world on the X and Z axes, subtracts the emitter's own position from it and adds the result to the particle's birth position. Y is left alone. When the generator has no point to give, the birth position is not changed.
- A rate factor. The emitter's emission rate is multiplied by it before the number
of particles to spawn is worked out. A factor of
0stops the emitter from emitting.
It runs after the emission surface and independently of it, and it never touches the birth velocity.
The only implementation is NavigationGridParticleSpawnDataGenerator.
