The effector itself: one of the four shape classes under VfxEffectorComponentData. It is authored inline.

Class Documentation
Edit documentationAn environment effector carried by a
shimmer emitter. It is not one of the five
named slots: it goes in the components list of the emitter's
VfxComponents graph. The shape and the strength of the
effector are in the linked
VfxEffectorComponentData object.
There is one effector per emitter, never one per particle. The client creates its running part with the emitter and removes it with the emitter. On each update with at least one live particle, the client does two things:
- It evaluates
Magnitudeand the shape values of the data object for the emitter's first particle. - It records where the particle system is, where its target is, in which direction and how fast it moves, and how far it has moved. Only the two ground axes are recorded.
On an update with no live particle the recorded values stay as they were.
This component replaces VfxEffectorDefinition, which attached an effector to a whole particle system.
