Edit documentation

The running part of a VfxEffectorComponent. There is one subclass for each shape, and the shape's data object creates the matching one.

On each emitter update with at least one live particle, the object stores:

  • the evaluated Magnitude and size values of the data object
  • the position of the particle system and its target position
  • the direction and the speed of the system's movement
  • the distance that the system has moved since the first update

Positions and directions are stored on the two ground axes only. The direction comes from the velocity of the object that the system is bound to. If that velocity is zero, the client uses the velocity measured from the change of the system's position.
